TACO PIZZA!!!!!
| Makes a 14" Pizza | |
|---|---|
| 1 lbs | Taco Meat (Link to recipe) |
| 1 | Dough Ball (Link to recipe) |
| 1 16 oz can | Refried Beans. This is good for up to 14" pizzas. |
| 1/4 cup | Salsa. Adjust this to your taste. If you follow the recipe above, it also has salsa. If you rolled your own taco meat, add up to 1/2 cup. |
| 8 oz | Montery Jack Cheese shredded. Adjust to your prefrence. |
This is real simple recipe. You should make your doughball the night before. The taco meat should be made at least an hour before.
Preheat to at least 500 F
Heat the refired beans and add the salsa.
That’s it, we’re ready to make the pizza.
Add a layer of the beans to be the sauce.
Coat the remaining crust in mild olive oil.
If you’re using a home oven, go ahead and place the pizza in the oven for 5 minutes. Watch it. When the crust starts to turn brown, remove from the oven and finish topping. (I turn down my oven to 450 at this point.)
Add the meat, the cheese, and your choice of toppings. Bake for another 7-10 minutes. Watch the crust and cheese. Don’t let them burn. Ovens have hot spots, so if you can, rotate the pizza in the middle of the cook.
